Recycling Officer x 2 - Tendring District Council

Temporary, Full Time
£30.00 per hour PAYE
Location: Clacton on Sea

Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Tendring District Council to recruit two Recycling Officers on a 6-month, full-time basis. Please note this role is based at Clacton on Sea, and you will be required to work on site 5 days per week.
The Role:
Tendring District Council are seeking two Recycling Officers to join our Waste and Recycling Team on a six-month fixed-term contract to support the team introduce a simpler recycling compliant collection service to the residents of Tendring. The post will be based in Clacton and you must have access to a car for travel around district.

- Kerbside compliance monitoring of our waste and recycling contractor
- Customer and contractor engagement and education to promote all aspects of recycling and waste minimisation
- Attending meetings with contractors, helping to ensure TDC are Simpler Recycling compliant
- Auditing of communal bin stores sites and installation of additional recycling provisions, customer engagement and education
- Introducing, supporting and promoting food waste collection provisions to communal properties
- Container deliveries to households
- Handling public contact via telephone and emails, as well as undertaking administrative and operational tasks to support the effective and efficient operation of the Council waste and recycling service
