Bar Manager, Red Bar - JW Marriott Grosvenor House London

Located on the iconic Park Lane in the heart of Mayfair, JW Marriott Grosvenor House London has defined luxury hospitality for nearly a century. Renowned for its rich heritage, exceptional service and prestigious reputation, the hotel remains one of London's most celebrated destinations for both international travellers and local guests.

As part of the globally recognised JW Marriott brand, we create experiences that are thoughtfully designed, authentically delivered and remembered long after a guest's stay. We are now seeking an exceptional Bar Manager to lead Red Bar, a vibrant and sophisticated venue that plays an integral role in the hotel's food and beverage offering.

This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious hospitality leader to shape the guest experience, drive commercial success and inspire a talented team within one of Marriott International's flagship luxury properties.

About the Role

As Bar Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of Red Bar. Acting as a highly visible presence within the venue, you will oversee operations, guest satisfaction, financial performance, compliance and team development.

Working closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and wider hotel leadership team, you will champion Marriott's luxury service standards while ensuring Red Bar continues to evolve, innovate and exceed guest expectations. Success in this role will be measured through guest satisfaction, associate engagement, revenue growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operation of Red Bar, ensuring exceptional service delivery and adherence to JW Marriott brand standards.
  • Drive commercial performance through revenue growth, effective labour management, beverage cost control and overall profit optimisation.
  • Oversee stock management, inventory control, liquor compliance and financial accountability across the venue.
  • Create a culture of excellence through coaching, mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
  • Deliver memorable guest experiences, proactively resolving concerns and continuously enhancing service standards.
  • Keep pace with market trends, beverage innovation and evolving guest preferences to maintain Red Bar's competitive positioning.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health & safety, hygiene and Marriott operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with hotel departments and key stakeholders to support wider business objectives and elevate the overall guest journey.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
