About the Role

A family in St Albans is seeking a nanny for two boys aged 9 and 11.

The role is term time only (state school terms) although they would likely offer the odd bit of work in school hols, paid as extra.

Weekly Schedule

  • Tues+Wed: 8-6.15
  • Thursday: 2-6.15
  • Friday: 2-6 = 28.25 hours per week

This is a permanent role to start in September.

Responsibilities

  • The eldest will walk himself to/from school so you take the 9-year-old.
  • The role is sole charge, parents typically WFH just 1 day per week.
  • During school hours, tasks include taking in the food shop (delivered), meal prep and batch cooking, kids laundry/ironing, changing their beds (kids only).
  • A driver is needed for clubs/holidays. Own car for work use.

Compensation

  • Salary: £18-£20ph which is £22k-£24.7k (which covers 39 working weeks, plus holiday pay - paid in equal monthly payments across a year).

Requirements

  • Ofsted registration is required, they're happy to pay the fee / you can apply when you get the role.

  • Family have a cat.
  • This role will not suit a NWOC.
