Job Opportunity: Afterschool Nanny
A family in St Albans (but moving to Harpenden soon!) is in need of an afterschool nanny.
Job Details
- Days: Tues, Wed, Thurs
- Hours: 15p/w
- Ages: B10, G7
- Salary: £20-£22gph
About the Role
A family currently in St Albans is in need of a nanny for two children aged 7 and 10. They will be moving to Harpenden a few months into the role, so both locations need to suit you.
Responsibilities
- They need 3 days per week, fixed as Tues, Wed, and Thurs.
- Term time, the hours are 2-7pm. If you want to do any morning school runs (even if just 1 of the days), they can add these hours on but the PM is the real need.
- In school holidays, they will keep the base of 15 hours per week but the format may change (e.g. 2 days 9-4.30) or they may offer some extra hours as overtime.
- This is a long-term role to start ASAP.
- Role is sole charge - parents don't routinely work from home.
- Ofsted not needed.
- A driver is needed, with your own car for work use (potentially a duty car in the future but not certain!).
- No pets or SEN requirements.
- Before school pick up, some light house help - tidying, laundry, and ironing, cook tea.
- They are happy to accept a nanny bringing your own child to work.

They offer £20-£22 gross per hour, depending on your experience - this is £15.6k up to £17,160 gross per annum.
