Referral & Community Partnerships Officer
Bridge Housing UK – Birmingham & Surrounding Areas
Bridge Housing UK is an established supported accommodation provider supporting vulnerable adults across Birmingham and surrounding areas.
We are looking for a confident, proactive and relationship-driven Referral & Community Partnerships Officer whose main focus will be to go out into the community, build strong professional relationships and generate suitable referrals into our supported accommodation services.
This is not a desk-based administration role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being out in the community, meeting organisations face-to-face, developing new referral pathways and maintaining relationships with existing partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new referrals into Bridge Housing UK.
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, housing teams, social workers, charities, support organisations, probation services, hospitals, community organisations and other referral partners.
- Visit organisations in person to introduce Bridge Housing UK and explain the services and accommodation we provide.
- Identify new organisations and professionals who may be able to refer suitable individuals to our services.
- Develop strong, long-term referral partnerships across Birmingham and surrounding areas.
- Regularly follow up with existing referral partners to maintain engagement and encourage ongoing referrals.
- Attend networking events, community meetings, forums and partnership events.
- Promote available accommodation and keep referral partners updated on current vacancies.
- Respond promptly to referral enquiries and work closely with the internal team to progress suitable referrals.
- Maintain an active pipeline of potential referral partners and referral opportunities.
- Record contacts, meetings, referrals and outcomes accurately.
- Monitor referral activity and provide regular updates to management.
- Identify opportunities to increase occupancy across our supported accommodation portfolio.
- Represent Bridge Housing UK professionally when dealing with external organisations and stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident approaching new organisations and building relationships from scratch.
- Comfortable making telephone calls, sending introductions and arranging face-to-face meetings.
- Proactive and able to create their own opportunities rather than waiting for referrals to come in.
- Professional, personable and confident when representing the company externally.
- Target-driven and motivated by generating new referrals and partnerships.
- Well organised and able to manage a pipeline of contacts and follow-ups.
- Able to communicate effectively with professionals from different organisations.
- Knowledgeable about supported housing, homelessness, social care or vulnerable adults, although relevant relationship-building or business development experience will also be considered.
- Familiar with Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

The Role
This is a highly proactive role. A significant part of your working week will involve going out, meeting potential referral partners and developing relationships that result in appropriate referrals being made to Bridge Housing UK.
We are therefore looking for someone with the confidence, personality and determination to open doors, establish new contacts and turn those relationships into a consistent referral network.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be highly desirable due to the nature of the role.
