Refrigeration Engineer
£42,000–£50,000 Basic + Overtime | OTE Approx. £70,000–£75,000+
Locations: Ideally based in Peterborough, Northampton, Leicester, Milton Keynes or Cambridge

We're recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing business delivering first-class service across the food production, brewing, dairy, healthcare and manufacturing sectors.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an engineer with a background in CO₂ or ammonia refrigeration, or someone coming from a light industrial refrigeration or heavy chiller environment who is keen to develop their industrial refrigeration knowledge.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Refrigeration Engineer who has:
- Experience working with ammonia and/or CO₂ refrigeration systems – ideal.
- A background in industrial or light industrial refrigeration, ideally within food production, manufacturing, cold storage or similar environments.
- Engineers with heavy chiller experience who are looking to move into industrial refrigeration will also be considered.
- Experience with CO₂, ammonia or other low-temperature refrigeration systems would be highly advantageous.
- Current F-Gas Certification – essential.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with PLC-controlled refrigeration systems would be beneficial.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and excellent team ethic.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
The Opportunity
You'll work across a range of industrial and light industrial refrigeration applications, servicing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning refrigeration systems for established customers across the UK.

You'll also receive ongoing ammonia and PLC training, making this a particularly good opportunity for an engineer who already has strong refrigeration fundamentals and wants to develop further into industrial ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration.
