Refrigeration Service Engineer

M25 & Greater London Area | Full-Time | Permanent

About the Opportunity

An established and growing building services and refrigeration specialist is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join its field-based engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking for a varied role, working independently across a wide range of commercial refrigeration systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and customer support services to clients across the M25 region and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive maintenance and repair work on commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on equipment including:
    • Cold rooms
    • Display cabinets
    • Chillers
    • Freezer units
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks as required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current Health & Safety regulations and F-Gas requirements.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation using company systems.
  • Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
  • Participate in an on-call rota and attend emergency breakdown call-outs when required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience working as a Refrigeration Engineer.
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
  • Valid F-Gas certification.
  • R290 qualification.
  • CO₂ refrigeration qualification.
  • CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A professional, customer-focused approach.

This is a field-based position covering a broad geographical area within and around the M25. Candidates should be comfortable travelling as part of the role and be flexible in supporting business and customer requirements.
