Regeneration Officer (x 3 positions)
Salary: £40,777 – £44,075 per annum Nottingham, Hybrid Working (2 days per week in office)

Nottingham City Council is delivering an ambitious programme of regeneration to unlock growth, accelerate housing delivery and create thriving, sustainable neighbourhoods. We are now seeking three Regeneration Officers to join our Planning Strategy & Regeneration service at a pivotal time for the city.
If you are commercially aware, analytically strong, and motivated by delivering visible change, this is an opportunity to work on projects that directly transform places and improve lives.
The Role
As a Regeneration Officer, you will support the development and delivery of high-impact regeneration projects from inception through to completion. Working across housing, employment land, mixed-use development and place-making schemes, you will help secure investment, unlock development opportunities and ensure projects align with corporate priorities and regional strategy.
You will:
- Assist in the development and delivery of regeneration schemes, ensuring compliance with agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards
- Prepare feasibility studies, viability appraisals and development briefs to inform decision-making
- Support funding bids and manage grant monitoring, ensuring compliance with funding conditions
- Maintain project performance frameworks and escalate risks where required
- Engage with developers, investors, businesses and community stakeholders
- Contribute to strategy development aligned with Council priorities
- Prepare reports and briefings for senior officers, Members and external boards
- Monitor changes in regeneration policy and funding regimes
- Embed Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and climate responsibility into all aspects of delivery
This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong project discipline, commercial understanding and stakeholder management capability.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate:
Technical & Professional Capability
- Experience supporting regeneration or development projects
- Knowledge of regeneration policy, funding regimes and development viability
- Commercial awareness and understanding of development processes
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data
- Experience contributing to funding bids and grant compliance monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal report writing
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in regeneration, planning, property development or related discipline
- Project management qualification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent) desirable
