Regional Sales Manager

About the Role

This role will focus on leading a field sales team to drive direct sales and promotion of Vaporesso/Dojo products within the UK FMCG retail market. The candidate must have hands-on field sales background, be capable of managing a team of 7-8 field sales representatives, overseeing retail penetration into convenience shops and tobacco retailers, driving team-wide product adoption and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead, coach and manage a field sales team of 7-8 reps. Set individual & team sales KPIs, monitor target delivery, conduct performance reviews and drive continuous sales improvement across the territory.
  • Retail Strategy & Execution: Oversee regular in-person retail visits to convenience stores and tobacco outlets. Guide the team on product pitching, stocking standards and in-store promotion execution for Vaporesso/Dojo portfolio.
  • Account & Territory Development: Support key retail stakeholder relationships with store owners and decision-makers. Optimise territory coverage, identify growth opportunities and expand retail footprint across the assigned region.
  • Market Monitoring & Feedback: Consolidate team-collected intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and consumer preferences in the FMCG/vaping retail space. Compile and share actionable market insights with HQ to refine sales and marketing strategies.
  • Brand Visibility & Campaign Delivery: Drive negotiation for shelf space and in-store visibility across the region. Oversee delivery of in-store promotions, roadshows and industry events to strengthen brand awareness and hit campaign objectives.
  • Talent Management: Support team recruitment, onboarding, retention and capability building for field sales resources within region.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: Proven hands-on direct field sales experience in FMCG; prior experience managing a field-based retail sales team (ideally 6-10 people). Track record of delivering or exceeding team sales targets via retail channel management. Experience in e-cigarette, tobacco, or related FMCG categories is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong sales persuasion and team-coaching capabilities. Solid retail negotiation background gained from personal field selling. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Self-motivated, target-driven, capable of managing multiple priorities and developing team performance.
  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region. Practical familiarity with local UK FMCG retail markets and key channel players.
