Account Manager – North West

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join a leading manufacturer and supplier of architectural aluminium building systems, supporting customers across the North West of England.

This is a commercially focused role centred on developing and growing an established customer base across the region. You’ll work closely with fabricators, contractors and other key partners, identifying opportunities to increase revenue, strengthen relationships and maximise the potential of existing accounts.

With a strong product portfolio covering windows, doors, curtain walling and façade systems, this is an opportunity to represent a well-established name within the UK construction and building-envelope market.

The role is predominantly field-based across the North West, with approximately one day per week spent in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop an established portfolio of customer accounts across the North West.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and share of wallet within existing customers.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with fabricators, contractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customers’ businesses, project pipelines and commercial requirements.
  • Proactively identify upcoming projects and opportunities where the company’s aluminium systems can be introduced or expanded.
  • Provide customers with commercial and product support throughout the sales process.
  • Work closely with internal technical, specification, estimating and customer-service teams to ensure customers receive a high level of support.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and progress opportunities through to order.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide regular updates on account activity, opportunities and forecasts.
  • Monitor competitor activity and wider market developments across the region.
  • Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a commercially minded relationship-builder who understands how to grow existing accounts rather than simply maintain them.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in account management, territory sales or business development within construction or building products.
  • Experience selling through relationships with fabricators, contractors, installers or similar construction-sector customers.
  • Knowledge of architectural aluminium, glazing, windows, doors, curtain walling, façades or related building-envelope products would be particularly advantageous.
  • A proven track record of developing existing accounts and identifying additional revenue opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building and commercial negotiation skills.
  • The ability to understand technical products and communicate their benefits confidently to customers.
  • A proactive, organised approach to territory and pipeline management.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider commercial and technical teams.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the North West.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established North West territory with significant potential for further growth.

Rather than being a purely cold new-business role, the focus is on building deeper relationships with existing customers, understanding where additional opportunities exist and turning those relationships into sustainable commercial growth.

You’ll join an established business with a recognised position in the architectural aluminium and building-envelope market, a broad technical product offering and the internal expertise to support customers from initial project discussions through to delivery.
