Job Opportunity: Regional Account Manager

UK Forks (part of Vp plc) is seeking an experienced Regional Account Manager. Covering the West of England, you will be responsible for new Business Development as well as managing our Key customer accounts. You will be instrumental in growing the UK Forks portfolio across the region.

This unique position requires you to provide a balanced and multifaceted approach to driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will play a crucial role in generating leads, nurturing relationships and driving sales growth through self-driven proactive activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise every opportunity to promote company products and services
  • Undertake site surveys to identify product suitability and highlight any local health and safety issues
  • Undertake the necessary training and successfully obtain the relevant accreditation to be able to visit construction sites and carry out product familiarisation and training
  • Maintain first aid repair kit for consumable machine parts where required
  • Formulate and implement business plans in agreement with the line manager
  • Ensure achievement of all agreed sales budget and targets
  • Achieve all set targets for strategic activity
  • Follow up sales leads to ensure maximised sales in all sectors
  • Develop new and existing business through a structured call plan
  • Adhere to pricing policies as implemented by senior management
  • Ensure full, prompt and correct implementation of all reporting procedures, including mileage returns, and resolve all service and quality complaints as directed

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in the heavy plant industry
  • Hands on and willing to get stuck in with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude, remaining calm under pressure
  • Self-sufficient and proactive, as well as having good problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven and motivated with a track record of achieving sales or business development targets
  • Strong telesales skills for lead generation and relationship building
  • Demonstrated ability to maximize revenue and profit through proactive customer management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability to balance business development and account management responsibilities effectively
  • Transparency of activity to key stakeholders utilising the CRM system
  • A genuine passion for driving sales growth, building lasting customer relationships that thrives in a dynamic, hybrid role
