Regional Account Manager – Sporting Goods
Our client is a globally recognised name within the sporting goods industry, with a long-standing reputation for innovation, quality and performance.
With a strong international presence and a heritage built around supporting active lifestyles, they design and distribute premium products used by everyone from everyday participants to elite athletes. Their continued focus on innovation and athlete-led product development has established them as a trusted partner to retailers and sports professionals worldwide.
As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a Regional Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of approximately 140 accounts across London, Essex and Hertfordshire. The customer base includes independent sports retailers, leisure centres and other organisations within the sporting goods sector.
This is a field-based role, combining home working with regular face-to-face meetings across the territory.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a designated customer territory, conducting regular face-to-face account visits and maintaining accurate call reports.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with independent retailers, leisure centres and other B2B customers.
- Maximise revenue across existing accounts through effective upselling and cross-selling of the full product portfolio.
- Present new product ranges to customers and secure new orders.
- Provide visual merchandising support across the account base, including delivering merchandising guidance and training where required.
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 140 accounts while prioritising activity against commercial opportunities.
- Work towards agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and budgets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the territory, winning new customers and expanding the regional customer base.

The Successful Candidate
- B2B field sales experience.
- Experience selling physical products or solutions into B2B customers is desirable.
- Candidates from a range of sales backgrounds will be considered.
- A genuine interest in sport, fitness or swimming would be advantageous.
- Based within or close to the territory, covering WD, HA, UB, NW, W, E, IG, EN and SE postcodes.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Comfortable managing a large customer portfolio and working independently across a defined territory.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and commercial skills.
Regional Account Manager Package
- Basic salary: up to £37,000
- 15% annual bonus
