Salary & Benefits
£50,000 - £60,000 basic salary + Bonus
Hours: 7:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet customer and travel requirements.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected business operating within the construction supply sector. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Account Manager to take ownership of the South Region, covering SO, PO and GU postcodes.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible role where you'll be responsible for driving revenue growth across an established portfolio of key accounts while identifying and converting new opportunities within your territory.
Combining relationship management, commercial acumen and field-based customer engagement, you'll become the trusted partner to your customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service while maximising account performance and spend.

This is far more than a traditional account management role.
You'll inherit a portfolio of established customers while also working closely with internal sales, business development and operational teams to identify growth opportunities, increase market share and deliver measurable commercial results.
With a mix of office-based activity and customer-facing field visits, you'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary and region while being supported by a collaborative and experienced commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts across the South region
- Build strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers
- Identify opportunities to increase customer spend and grow account profitability
- Conduct regular customer meetings and site visits
- Generate new enquiries and coordinate quotations with internal teams
- Analyse customer activity and identify gaps, opportunities and areas for growth
- Develop account plans and forecasts for strategic customers
- Support local sales initiatives and customer engagement events
- Ensure all activity is accurately recorded within the CRM system
- Deliver against sales, profit and activity targets

You'll likely have experience in:
- Account Management
- Territory Sales
- Regional Sales
- Business Development
- Construction, Building Materials, Builders Merchants or a related B2B sector
You'll also bring:
- A proven track record of achieving sales and growth targets
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability
- The confidence to engage with customers both remotely and face-to-face
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach
- The ability to analyse opportunities and convert them into revenue growth
