Regional Agriculture Manager
East of England Region

About The Role
As a Regional Agriculture Manager, you will be McCain’s primary point of contact for growers across your region, building strong partnerships and providing both agricultural and commercial support. Acting as the key link between our grower network and contract management teams, you will help ensure the successful delivery of crop programmes, drive grower engagement, and support a sustainable, high-performing supply base.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as McCain’s lead agricultural contact for growers within your assigned region, building strong and trusted partnerships.
- Lead all grower contract negotiations, including volume planning, pricing discussions, and contract execution.
- Provide commercial and agronomic support to growers, helping optimise crop performance, yield, quality, and long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate with Regional Crop Managers and Crop Management Technicians to deliver timely crop insights and support informed decision-making throughout the growing and storage cycle.
- Drive the delivery of quality potatoes in line with contractual requirements and McCain's supply needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers and grower groups through regular communication, technical guidance, and proactive account management.
- Champion continuous improvement, using crop and grower performance data to identify opportunities and implement development plans.
- Support the growth of McCain’s supply base by identifying and onboarding new grower partners where appropriate.
- Manage seed ordering and quality processes, including supporting growers throughout the seed supply cycle and resolving any related issues.
- Ensure accurate crop and storage records are maintained within McCain's grower management systems.
- Lead, coach and support regional agricultural team members, providing day-to-day guidance to Regional Crop Managers and Crop Management Technicians.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
We're looking for someone who combines practical farming experience with a proactive, safety-first approach and a passion for modern agriculture.
- Proven experience working with growers in a commercially focused agricultural environment.
- Strong knowledge of agriculture, potato production and crop management.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing a grower supply base, with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent commercial negotiation, planning and contract management skills.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and support others.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other digital tools to manage information and communicate effectively.
- BASIS and FACTS qualified, or the ability to achieve these qualifications within 12 months of joining.

Desirable
- Experience in grower, customer or account relationship management.
- Experience using agricultural management systems, databases or other industry-specific software.
- A qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science or a related discipline.
- Experience working within the potato industry or wider fresh produce supply chain.
