Regional Blue Collar Recruiter

Altrad is currently looking for a Regional Blue Collar Recruiter to join the team in Goldthorpe.

This role will require the ability to manage recruitment across a number of operational sites, supporting day-to-day vacancies, planned outages and larger mobilisation activity.

Working closely with Operations, hiring managers and the wider Resource team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring roles are filled safely, compliantly and within agreed timescales.

Key Deliverables:

  • Manage recruitment requirements across allocated sites and projects.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand their requirements, including the trades, experience, qualifications and start dates needed.
  • Consider internal transfers and redeployment opportunities alongside external recruitment.
  • Source and screen skilled tradespeople and operatives through Eploy, job boards, referrals, social media and direct contact.
  • Manage candidates throughout the recruitment, onboarding and mobilisation process.
  • Make sure all required qualifications, SQEP, right-to-work checks are in place.
  • Keep in regular contact with candidates and confirm attendance ahead of their start date.
  • Respond quickly to withdrawals, failed checks, no-shows and changes to site requirements.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for key trades and upcoming work.
  • Keep Eploy, vacancy information and recruitment trackers accurate and up to date.
  • Provide clear updates on confirmed numbers, outstanding vacancies, shortfalls and any mobilisation risks.
  • Build good working relationships with Operations, site teams, HR, Onboarding and the wider Resource team.
  • Support with demobilisations and help find onward placements for employees becoming available.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in blue-collar, trades, industrial, engineering, construction or high-volume recruitment.
  • Strong candidate sourcing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to manage several vacancies, sites and changing priorities at the same time.
  • Good understanding of recruitment, onboarding and compliance processes.
  • Confident speaking with candidates and hiring managers at all levels.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a busy environment.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience supporting outages, shutdowns or industrial projects would be useful.
