This is a remote based role.

Role Purpose

Build and establish strong relationships with brokers that are able to introduce business that fits our credit appetite.

  • Have a clear sales plan to ensure you meet your key targets for volume and blended yield.
  • Ensure that you maximise performance from each of your allocated brokers.
  • Seek new brokers on your territory.

Responsibilities

  • Have regular contact with your brokers to ensure you maximise business volumes and blended yield.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders at brokers through visits, entertainment, and social media interactions.
  • Ensure your brokers have a clear understanding of both the UTB & Stance offering and introduce appropriate business to us.
  • Monitor proposal quality and conversion rates taking appropriate action if these are not being met.
  • Manage pipeline effectively to ensure you maximise business levels and have a good grasp on forecasting each month.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews with all tier 1 brokers.
  • Ensure annual broker reviews are conducted for Compliance purposes (internal review).
  • Work alongside brokers to establish credit facilities for repeat customers.
  • Keep brokers up to date as our proposition evolves to make sure proposals are in line with our credit appetite.
  • Build a strong profile on LinkedIn, grow your network, and Promote UTB AF through this channel.
  • Support Marketing by providing deal case studies, broker case studies etc.
  • Ensure you can add value to the credit process by obtaining additional information or challenging decisions with a clear logical argument (appeals).
  • Provide input to process improvements and growth initiatives.

Skills and Experience sought

  • An excellent knowledge of Asset Finance products, e.g. Hire Purchase and Finance Lease.
  • Good grasp of pricing in the broker introduced market.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Good understanding of credit.
  • Personable and able to develop deep long-lasting relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work from a home-based office.
  • Driven and motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to tight timescales with attention to detail.
  • Team Player.
