Regional Business Development Manager

North Scotland

If you're the person everyone in the Scottish construction and infrastructure market seems to know, we should talk.

Our client is one of the UK's most respected and established providers of operational equipment, asset support services and project solutions, partnering with some of the biggest names across construction, infrastructure, industrial and engineering sectors.

With significant investment, ambitious growth plans and a market-leading reputation already in place, they're looking for a Regional Business Development Manager to take ownership of North Scotland and turn relationships into revenue.

This is not an account management role. This is for someone who thrives on winning. Someone who knows the major contractors, understands where the next projects are landing before the market does, and can pick up the phone to senior decision-makers and get meetings booked.

You'll have the freedom to build your own territory strategy, target the most exciting projects in the region, and make a genuine commercial impact from day one.

From Aberdeen to Inverness, Dundee to the Highlands, you'll be the face of the business across one of the UK's most opportunity-rich territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a regional growth strategy across North Scotland.
  • Winning new business with Tier 1 contractors, major infrastructure projects and strategic customers.
  • Building relationships with commercial, operational and procurement leaders across your territory.
  • Identifying opportunities early and positioning the business as the partner of choice.
  • Leading negotiations, tenders and commercial discussions through to successful close.
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Building, managing and converting a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Representing the business at customer meetings, industry events and networking forums.
  • Keeping ahead of market activity, competitor movements and upcoming project opportunities.
  • Delivering against ambitious revenue and growth targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
