Region Covered

Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Devon, Cornwall, Pan Avon (up to Gloucester), North Central London, Herts and West Essex

Within this role, you will deliver the organization's growth targets by setting out and implementing strategically aligned regional business plans to leverage HARTMANN products through market share growth, advocate development, and utilizing market access solutions to deliver partnership projects. Key performance indicators orientate around effectively managing performance, motivation, and development of a successful team of Territory Sales Managers, working collaboratively with Healthcare Partnership Managers and Clinical Partnership Managers.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Leadership

  • Lead and inspire the regional Wound Care team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical regional business plans aligned to company goals.
  • Drive regional revenue growth, profitability, and market share while ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively with Marketing, Healthcare Partnership Managers, and wider commercial teams.

People Management (70%)

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing sales team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, field coaching, and business reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of sales excellence practices, including consultative selling, key account management, Salesforce CRM, and the 7 Steps Selling Model.
  • Motivate and engage team members through effective communication, performance management, and incentive programs.
  • Identify and develop talent for future leadership opportunities.

Customer Development & Market Access (30%)

  • Develop strategic relationships with key NHS stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Drive market access opportunities, formulary inclusion, and value-based customer solutions.
  • Support customer evaluations and therapy area initiatives to grow HARTMANN brands.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and partnership teams to develop advocates, clinical networks, and regional business plans.
  • Identify and deliver revenue-generating opportunities through strategic account management.

Operational & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance standards, GDPR, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Manage regional budgets, expenses, reporting, and territory planning.
  • Monitor team performance, KPI achievement, and Salesforce compliance.
  • Maintain accurate market intelligence, opportunity management, and business reporting.

This role combines strong leadership, commercial acumen, and strategic account management to deliver sustainable growth, develop high-performing teams, and strengthen HARTMANN's position within the UK Wound Care market.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven sales leadership experience within the Medical Devices industry (3+ years)
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing field sales teams
  • Strong understanding of NHS market access and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated success in strategic account management and advocate development
  • Commercially driven with excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Passionate about improving patient outcomes and driving business growth
  • Strong organizational, CRM, and Microsoft 365 skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the region

Desirable

  • ABPI qualification
  • 5+ years' regional sales management experience
  • Recent experience within acute and community NHS markets
