Member Commercial Manager: London & South East

Field Based | Account Management | Electrical Retail

ReQuire are recruiting for an established national organisation within the independent electrical retail sector, looking for an experienced commercial professional to take ownership of an important London & South East territory.

This is a genuinely relationship-led field role. You'll spend your time getting close to independent retailers, understanding their businesses and identifying opportunities to increase sales, product penetration and overall commercial performance.

You'll inherit an established network of customers, but this isn't simply about maintaining accounts. The expectation is to develop them.

The role will involve:

  • Building trusted relationships with independent retailers and business owners
  • Managing and developing a sizeable London & South East territory
  • Identifying opportunities to grow sales, ranges and product penetration
  • Developing existing accounts and identifying potential new customers
  • Using sales and performance data to identify commercial opportunities
  • Supporting customers with promotions, product strategy and commercial planning
  • Introducing and developing new product ranges
  • Providing competitor and market insight
  • Working closely with internal commercial, marketing and supply teams
  • Delivering against regional sales and growth targets

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for:

We're particularly interested in people with experience across electrical retail, appliances, white goods, consumer electronics or a closely related market.

You'll ideally have worked in field sales, account management, territory management or commercial development, with exposure to independent retailers, dealer networks, distributors, buying groups or multi-brand suppliers.

Most importantly, you'll be able to demonstrate that you've grown accounts rather than simply managed them, increasing sales, opening new customers, expanding ranges, improving product penetration or consistently delivering against commercial targets.

  • Strong field-based account management or sales experience
  • Knowledge of electrical/appliance/consumer electronics retail
  • Proven territory and account growth
  • Strong commercial and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence presenting and influencing at senior level
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A base within, or with easy access to, London and the South East
