About H&MV Engineering

H&MV Engineering is a global leader in high-voltage electrical engineering, powering the transition to a sustainable future. We’re at the cutting-edge of renewable energy, data centres, and complex utility projects - powered by a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Our foundation is built on safety, collaboration, and respect. These values shape how we work, how we lead, and how we grow. And at H&MV Engineering, growth isn’t just a goal—it’s a mindset.

We invest in our people, offering opportunities to develop, lead, and shape the future of energy. We value passion, motivation, and problem-solving skills, and we believe that diverse perspectives fuel better outcomes.

We’re not here to keep up we’re here to lead.

H&MV Engineering is offering a strong progression opportunity in Ireland, Europe, the UK, or new international regions for an experienced commissioning engineer ready to step into a broader leadership role. This position is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on technical commissioning but wants greater influence, ownership, and the chance to lead a regional team delivering major high-voltage projects. You will help shape commissioning delivery, support engineers, and play a key role in safely energising critical infrastructure across the region.

About the Role

The Regional Commissioning Manager will play a key role in overseeing commissioning delivery across an assigned region, supporting multiple projects and working closely with commissioning teams to ensure works are properly planned, coordinated, delivered, and reported.

This role sits within the commissioning management structure and reports to the relevant Commissioning Manager. The position provides a clear link between project delivery teams and commissioning management, ensuring progress, risks, resource requirements, technical issues, and key blockers are understood and managed.

This is a strong progression opportunity for an experienced commissioning professional who is ready to move into a wider leadership role. It is suited to someone who can oversee several projects at the same time, support teams on site, work closely with clients and project teams, and help drive safe and successful commissioning delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role is not just about managing people. It is about taking ownership of commissioning delivery across a region, supporting project teams, maintaining strong technical standards, and helping bring projects safely through commissioning and energisation.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Commissioning Delivery

  • Oversee commissioning delivery across multiple projects within the assigned region.

  • Track progress across regional projects and report key updates, risks, blockers, and resource requirements to the relevant Commissioning Manager.
  • Help ensure projects are ready for commissioning and energisation, with clear ownership of outstanding actions.
  • Support the closeout of commissioning issues, snags, documentation, and technical queries.

Leadership and Team Support

  • Provide practical support and guidance to commissioning teams across the assigned region.

Technical and Quality Oversight

  • Review commissioning documentation, test sheets, redlines, as-built information, and closeout records.
  • Support FAT attendance, pre-commissioning reviews, walkdowns, and energisation readiness reviews.

It gives you the opportunity to lead across multiple projects, support and develop teams, work closely with clients, and have a real influence on how commissioning is delivered across a region.
