EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As our Senior Regional Communications Manager for 12 months, you’ll help ensure our customers and communities feel informed, supported and respected during major infrastructure work. You’ll lead integrated 360° communications campaigns that make it clear what’s happening, why it matters, and how we’re working to minimise disruption.
Your work will have a direct impact on customer experience — turning complex technical programmes into clear, timely and reassuring communications that help people plan, feel prepared and understand the benefits we’re delivering for their area.
You’ll partner closely with delivery teams, local stakeholders and agency colleagues to ensure our campaigns are insight-led, customer-driven and sequenced around what matters most to the people we serve. By strengthening forward planning and improving campaign quality, you’ll help reduce confusion, prevent escalation and build trust across our region.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
