Regional Corporate Sales Manager (North, Scotland, and Northern Ireland)

Hybrid/ Full-time/ Monday - Friday

Job Purpose

Own the commercial performance and development of the assigned geographical region, managing a portfolio of corporate fleet customers, prospects, leasing partners and relevant dealer relationships.

Operate as a senior field representative of Mazda UK, using sound judgement and acting as the principal regional contact for customer opportunities. Work autonomously within agreed commercial policies, budgets and approval limits, while maintaining close alignment with the National Fleet Sales Manager and internal stakeholders.

Undertake travel throughout the assigned region, including regular customer and dealer visits, with occasional travel elsewhere in the UK.

Responsible for achieving, as a minimum and within specific time periods, defined end user customer regional corporate registration objectives and live customer account acquisition targets, for a designated geographical region, within budgeted spend limits.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Implement fleet programmes in direct contact with business partners.

  • Prospect, account manage and maximize customer purchases in line with plan and budget.

  • Develop local Contract Hire relationships to increase Mazda penetration onto Contract Hire fleets.

  • Identify volume opportunities and grow Mazda share and volume in corporate fleets.

  • Maximise use of the Mazda Corporate Support Centre (CSC) team to ensure RCSM time spent on customer facing activity to either improve customer relationships or generate additional corporate sales.

  • Operate within set budget and variable expense levels.

  • Perform analyses of market conditions, trends, and forecasts to support decision making.

  • Feed all relevant market and competitor intelligence back into the Corporate Management Team.

  • Support implementation of plans/programmes for assigned product lines and markets.

  • Actively promote the Mazda brand and products and achieve optimum customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate and share Fleet specific sales objectives as required with Fleet Specialist Dealers (FSD’s) as well as follow up with regular visits and support to ensure sales targets are met.

  • Contribute to achievement of annual Mazda corporate sales objective.

  • Support implementation of relevant policies, processes, and systems.

  • Collate, input, and update all relevant customer information as necessary onto in-house database, including key grade level data e.g. rentals, WLC’s, benchmark / popular vehicles, competitor comparisons etc – in order to maximise Mazda opportunities.

  • Complete accurate, specific, and timely customer meeting reports combined with all relevant next actions (for self / Mazda CSC team) in line with customer needs & territory sales targets.

  • Maintain and regularly update RCSM Territory Plan to include ‘sales opportunity numbers’ with all relevant clients combined with the construction of strategies and tactics designed to maximise Mazda registration volume and profitability in the designated territory with special attention paid to key account management and winning business with new target customers.

  • Promote and increase awareness the Mazda brand in designated territory via effective distribution of marketing materials.

  • Manage time available to maximise business levels within region whilst delivering all Mazda administrative and other internal requirements.

  • Coordinate workflows with external business contacts as well as participate in related discussions.

  • Act as the main point of contact for Mazda corporate customers within a defined geographical region.

  • Be primary contact for corporate fleets and their approved leasing companies.

  • Manage corporate demonstrator usage by your individual customers / prospects to ensure maximum exposure of the Mazda brand.

  • Support new & existing Mazda Dealers, especially Fleet Specialist Dealers(FSD’s)) where necessary e.g. joint customer meetings, general guidance, demonstration requests etc.

  • Attend and participate in key industry / customer events as necessary to grow the awareness of Mazda.

  • Coordinate workflows with internal interfaces to support shared planning and mutual understanding.

  • Liaise with Mazda Contract Hire and Leasing team when developing relationships with Contract Hire Companies.
  • Liaise with other Mazda UK departments to meet corporate objectives.

Education & Experience

Educational level:

Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Experience (area & duration):

At least 5 years automotive fleet experience in an OEM, Fleet Management, Contract Hire environment or dealer facing role.

Technical Skills / Specific Knowledge:

A full understanding of the UK fleet market, total cost of ownership modelling and residual value principles and excellent sales and relationship building skills.

Languages:

Fluent in spoken and written English

PC/Software:

Strong digital capability, including proficient use of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Teams and SharePoint) intermediate Excel skills for analysis, forecasting and reporting, and the ability to create clear, professional PowerPoint presentations. Confident use of CRM and sales-management systems to maintain accurate customer records Comfortable using virtual meeting, collaboration and mobile-working tools, with a good understanding of data protection, information security and secure handling of customer information.
