We are searching for an in-house Regional Counsel to lead the provision of legal services across FUJIFILM’s UK businesses and corporate functions.

As Regional Counsel you will provide strategic and operational legal advice across a broad portfolio, including commercial matters, corporate transactions, company secretarial responsibilities, compliance, data protection and corporate responsibility.

Working across FUJIFILM UK Limited and FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited, you’ll join a Corporate team dedicated to enabling business success – bringing one team, 2 companies together.

Candidate Location: Within travelling distance to our Bedford Head Office

What you'll do:

  • Provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice to senior leaders and business teams.
  • Advise on legal, regulatory, organisational and technology issues across multiple businesses and jurisdictions.
  • Draft, review and negotiate complex or sensitive agreements and documentation.
  • Lead or support legal workstreams for M&A, disposals, investments, internal reorganisations and restructurings.
  • Advise on business transfers, separations, site closures, exits and other strategic projects.
  • Work with Finance, Tax, HR, Corporate Planning and other functions to deliver projects effectively.
  • Act as Compliance Officer for FUJIFILM UK Ltd and FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Ltd and provide compliance support to other relevant entities.
  • Act as Company Secretary for the UK legal entities.
  • Select, instruct and manage external legal advisers, ensuring appropriate scope, quality, timing and value.

What you'll bring (minimum requirements):

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
  • 7 + years PQE, with several years in a senior in-house, private practise or comparable legal leadership role.
  • Broad commercial legal experience, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Experience supporting M&A, reorganisations, restructurings or other high-impact corporate projects.
  • Familiarity with key compliance topics e.g. GDPR/data privacy, competition, anti-bribery.
  • Experience operating in a multinational business or legal environment.
  • Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical and commercially relevant advice.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and executive-level communication; proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional decisions.

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Experience in a multinational manufacturing, technology, healthcare, optical, industrial or life sciences organisation.
  • Experience with share issuances, group reorganisations, business exits or operational separations.
  • Experience in employment immigration or UK immigration matters
  • Experience with Modern Slavery Act compliance, ESG or supply-chain due diligence.
  • Experience of utilising and exploring AI tools.
