About Smartsheet
For over 20 years, Smartsheet has empowered teams to manage work seamlessly and scale solutions smarter. Now, in our most ambitious chapter yet, we are uniting human teams with AI agents. By orchestrating the work agents do best, automating manual tasks and uncovering insights at scale, we create the space for people to focus on what truly matters: judgment, creativity, and big thinking. That is magic at work, and it’s what we show up for every day.
Smartsheet is a tech company with a human story to tell — and our customers are the ones who tell it best. We're looking for a Regional Customer Marketing Manager to be the in-region engine of our Customer Marketing function, turning customer voice into expansion opportunities, retention, and proof. You'll be the single point of contact for all customer marketing activity in your region, partnering daily with Field Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, and working hand-in-glove with the central Customer Marketing team to land global programmes — user groups, customer stories, speaker placements, Regional Advisory Boards — with regional nuance and measurable commercial impact.
The Role
The through-line for FY27 is our AI narrative: every story, every event, and every touchpoint should reinforce why Smartsheet is the right partner for our customers' AI journeys. Your job is to make that narrative tangible through customer voice and proof in your region.
You'll report to VP, Customer Marketing. This role is based at Smartsheet’s corporate offices in London, UK (hybrid eligible).
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for all regional customer marketing activity, partnering daily with Field Marketing, Sales leadership, and Customer Success Managers to surface opportunities and prioritise programmes.
- Localise and deliver central Customer Marketing programmes in-region, including in-person User Groups, the customer stories programme, speaker requests, and Regional Advisory Boards.
- Build and maintain a regional pipeline of referenceable customers and advocates in partnership with Sales and CS — feeding the central reference programmes and ensuring Sales and ABM can pull stories and references in real time.
- Identify, recruit, and prepare regional customer speakers for ENGAGE, regional summits, and third-party events.
- Plug into Customer Lifecycle & Retention programmes (onboarding journeys, feature adoption, renewal touchpoints, reactivation) to ensure scaled lifecycle plays land in-region alongside the high-touch work of CS.
- Tie every regional event and programme to commercial outcomes — expansion pipeline, exec champion activation, reference creation — rather than satisfaction scores alone. Report regularly on pipeline influenced, references created, and advocate participation.
- Collaborate with Community, ABM, and Customer Advocacy peers to ensure regional activity reinforces a single, consistent customer narrative.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Bring
- 5 years in B2B SaaS marketing, with hands-on experience in customer marketing, customer advocacy, or a closely related discipline.
- A proven track record running customer programmes in-region — user groups, advisory boards, customer story production, or executive engagement — with measurable commercial impact.
- A self-starter who can drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance, balancing multiple programmes in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong cross-functional operator who builds trust quickly with Sales leaders, CSMs, and senior stakeholders, and is comfortable in a matrixed global team.
- Excellent storytelling instincts — you can spot a strong customer narrative, coach a customer through telling it, and shape it for the right audience (sales deck, keynote, analyst, press).
- Data-literate and curious: comfortable defining KPIs, working in Salesforce and marketing automation tools, and reporting on pipeline influence, reference utilisation, and programme ROI.
- Experience working alongside ABM, Community, or Lifecycle Marketing functions is a plus.
- Willingness to travel in-region for customer events, summits, and RABs (typically 20–30%).
- Ability to work in the UK on an ongoing basis
