We’re Hiring: Regional Delivery Manager | Dundee
Location: Dundee
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
Contract: 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract

We’re looking for an experienced, people-focused Regional Delivery Manager to take ownership of delivery performance across the Dundee area. This is a key operational leadership role where you’ll lead a team of Community Delivery Managers, drive regional performance and ensure we continue to deliver a great service for our customers.
You’ll combine people leadership, commercial awareness and operational management to improve service, control costs and ensure we have the right courier resource in place to deliver successfully across a fast-paced, 7-day operation.
The Role
As Regional Delivery Manager, you’ll take responsibility for performance across your region, working through your team to deliver against service, customer, cost and operational targets.

- You’ll work closely with depot leadership, Resource Planning and wider operational teams to ensure effective courier coverage, respond to changing demand and continually identify opportunities to improve regional performance.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Community Delivery Managers to deliver strong regional performance.
- Taking ownership of service performance and customer satisfaction across the region.
- Managing and forecasting regional budgets, ensuring effective control of courier fees, contractor spend and other operational costs.
- Driving courier recruitment, retention and engagement to maintain strong and sustainable delivery coverage.
- Working with Resource Planning to ensure courier capacity is aligned with operational demand.
- Driving courier performance through your team across a 7-day operation.
- Overseeing delivery unit requirements across the region and working with relevant teams to maintain effective operations.
- Building strong relationships with depot leadership and internal stakeholders to support a seamless end-to-end parcel journey.
- Maintaining positive and professional relationships with the GMB union.
- Managing escalated customer issues and ensuring appropriate action is taken to achieve effective resolution.
- Identifying operational risks and putting effective contingency plans in place.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a confident operational leader who knows how to get the best from people while balancing service, cost and customer requirements.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading, coaching and motivating operational teams.
- Strong operational and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
- The ability to lead agile, high-performing teams across a fast-paced operation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Confidence negotiating and influencing at different levels.
- Knowledge of self-employed courier models would be advantageous.
- Experience within parcel delivery, logistics, transport or a similar operational environment would be beneficial.
- A current UK driving licence.
