Regional Development Manager – Padel Business
up to £48,000 + bonus + car allowance
Regional field-based role, ideally based in the Midlands
About the Role
Our client is one of the UK's fastest-growing padel operators, with a major expansion programme underway and the majority of new clubs opening across the Midlands in 2027.
You'll take day-to-day operational and P&L responsibility for a regional portfolio of clubs. A key priority will be leading the operational opening of around eight to ten new clubs over the next year. You'll take each site from handover through mobilisation, team training and launch, into early trading and beyond.
You'll also lead, coach and hold Club Managers accountable for commercial performance, team leadership, customer experience, programming, safety and facility standards. The aim is simple: launch well, nail the operation and drive strong commercial results.
Strong padel playing ability is essential. You'll need to be credible on court, work closely with Club Managers and coaches, and demonstrate effective session formats. You'll also give practical feedback that improves introductions, socials, matchplay and coached sessions.
What You'll Be Doing
New Club Launches
- Lead the operational opening of new clubs, often with several at different stages at once.
- Set up each club's launch programme of introductions, beginner sessions, socials, coaching courses, competitions and launch events.
- Recruit, onboard and train Club Managers, coaches and teams so every club is ready from day one.
- Be a hands-on presence at new sites before, during and after opening, welcoming new players and building an early community.
- Help turn first-time visitors into regular players through great sessions and clear progression pathways.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
