The Vacancy
WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is looking for a Regional Director England to join our Projects business stream on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be based in England, with regular travel to client, partner, and project locations. This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape the successful delivery and growth of WGM’s activities across the English water sector.
The Regional Director England will provide senior customer leadership and strategic direction, with particular emphasis on supporting WGM’s relationships with MWH Treatment and bWGM across secured and future water-sector frameworks. Acting as the principal interface between WGM, MWH Treatment, bWGM, and key client stakeholders, you will align priorities, resolve issues proactively, and build trusted relationships that support consistent framework performance and long-term growth.
With full profit and loss responsibility for all WGM projects delivered in England, you will be accountable for commercial performance, revenue, margin, cash management, cost control, and financial governance. You will also position WGM as a valued MEICA delivery partner, promoting our Off-Site Engineering, refurbishment, maintenance, specialist coatings, fabrication, and circular-economy capabilities.
WGM Engineering is a growing engineering business delivering critical infrastructure projects across the water, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. As part of RSK Group, we combine the scale and support of a wider group with the practical, hands-on approach of a specialist engineering delivery business. Our teams work with major clients across regulated environments, supporting safe, sustainable, and high-quality project delivery. We are continuing to grow across the UK and are focused on building long-term capability, strengthening our teams, and creating opportunities for people to build meaningful careers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide visible senior leadership and customer focus for WGM across the English water sector, acting as the key point of contact for MWH Treatment and bWGM.
- Take full profit and loss responsibility for all WGM projects delivered in England, ensuring robust financial control, accurate forecasting, cash management, margin protection, and delivery of agreed commercial targets.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across MWH Treatment, bWGM, WGM, and client organisations, ensuring open communication, strategic alignment, and early resolution of issues.
- Ensure customer requirements, framework commitments, and performance expectations are understood and translated into practical, measurable delivery plans.
- Develop and deliver WGM’s growth plan for England, identifying opportunities across long-cycle frameworks, strategic supply-chain relationships, and sustainable water-sector programmes.
- Promote WGM’s MEICA, Off-Site Engineering, refurbishment, maintenance, specialist coatings, fabrication, and circular-economy capabilities to create additional value for customers and delivery partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
