This is a strategic leadership role focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes, developing market opportunities, and strengthening our procurement capability across major infrastructure programmes.

Working with public and private sector clients, you will provide expert procurement and commercial advice, lead complex engagements, build trusted senior stakeholder relationships, and help shape innovative solutions that deliver value across the full project lifecycle. You will also play a key role in business development, people leadership, and the continued growth of our market presence.

Your role

  • Lead the delivery of complex procurement and commercial advisory services across major infrastructure and capital programmes.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
  • Drive the growth of the procurement capability across the Midlands region and wider UK markets.
  • Identify and secure business development opportunities that support practice growth and client success.
  • Provide strategic procurement and commercial advice to Executive, Board, and Director-level stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement innovative procurement and commercial strategies that deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, governance, and technical assurance across procurement and commercial activities.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop high-performing procurement and commercial teams while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

About you

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure project lifecycles, procurement planning, programme dependencies, and delivery requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of procurement legislation, governance, commercial management principles, and UK procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic advice and influence Executive, Board, and Director-level stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience developing procurement strategies, negotiating complex contracts, and managing commercial risk.
  • Expert knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, JCT, ICE and bespoke contract forms, together with professional membership such as FCIPS, MCIPS, MRICS, and/or Chartered status.
  • Demonstrated success in developing client relationships, winning new business, and contributing to business growth and market development initiatives.
  • An established industry leader with a track record of mentoring and developing teams, building collaborative partnerships, and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
