Regional Director of Project Management – North
Location: Manchester / Leeds
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Management professional to take a senior leadership position, heading up and growing the Project Management service line across the North.
Based between the Manchester and Leeds offices, this is a genuinely commercial role where you will take responsibility for growing the Project Management offering, winning new work and developing existing client relationships.
Reporting into the Senior Director for the region, you will also work closely with the Head of Project Management and other senior leaders across the business.
The business already has strong relationships with a number of major clients across the region, delivering high-profile projects across sectors including industrial and commercial. However, this role is very much about bringing your own network and client relationships to the table and using these to generate new opportunities and fee income.
The Role
As Regional Director, you will play a key role in shaping and developing the Project Management service line across Manchester and Leeds.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and growing the Project Management service line across the North
- Winning new work and developing existing client relationships
- Managing projects from inception through to completion
- Building a strong pipeline of fee-earning opportunities
- Developing and delivering the regional Project Management business plan
- Maintaining and growing your own client base and network
- Supporting wider business development, marketing and client engagement activity
- Driving high standards of technical delivery, quality and client service
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working
- Supporting the wider Project Management team with technical leadership and best practice
- Coaching and mentoring junior and senior team members
- Supporting recruitment, development and performance management within the team
- Working collaboratively with the wider Built Asset, Development and Engineering & Sustainability teams
- Taking a hands-on approach to project delivery while developing the wider service line

What we're looking for
This role will suit a commercially driven Project Management professional who has a strong track record of delivering projects and, importantly, winning work.
You'll ideally have:
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- MRICS
- Significant Project Management consultancy experience
- A strong network of contacts across the Manchester / Leeds property market
- An established client base capable of generating new instructions
- A proven track record in business development and fee generation
- Strong technical Project Management capability
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- The confidence to operate at senior level with major commercial clients
- A commercially minded approach with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
