Regional Director, Working Capital

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Regional Director, Working Capital. This role will be based in Leeds with travel expected across the North East and East Midlands.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Working Capital, GTS UK, the Regional Director, Working Capital is responsible for leading a team of Client Managers, supporting our Mid-Market Enterprise customers to manage the in-life performance of facilities and client relationships for GTS. This will cover all working capital facilities, including receivables finance and trade facilities. You’ll support the evolution of management of in-life GTS facilities to enhance client experience, grow revenue and manage risk, providing career development pathways for team members.
In this role you will:
- Lead a team of Client Managers to manage and grow client relationships, to deliver our strategy to be the best bank for aspiring businesses and households
- Lead, develop and motivate the team of Client Managers to attract, retain and develop the capacity, capability and talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives
- Set expectations, share best practice and manage, monitor, coach and develop team members to ensure that they maximise their performance, meet the required standards, and continuously develop their capabilities and experience
- Lead and encourage constructive cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration in action and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers
- Devise plans and strategies to maximise wallet share as well as increasing revenue for existing relationships to achieve asset growth and revenue targets
- Protect the Bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews

Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Global Trade Solutions services, products and techniques
- Corporate banking experience in a client facing role
- Experience in driving team and individual performance to achieve customer and financial targets
- Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to inspire, engage and motivate individuals
- Proven coaching and performance management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis on persuasion and influence in dealing with customers and colleagues
- Strong risk assessment skills, particularly with regard to more complex and structured facilities with an international dimension
