Regional Environmental and Sustainability Manager

SES Engineering Services are recruiting for a Regional Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join our regional business, playing a key role in shaping and advancing sustainability across our local operations and supporting our strategic centre functions.

This is a unique opportunity to influence and accelerate SES's transition towards net zero, strengthen our environmental sustainability performance, and drive innovation across some of the UK's most technically complex MEP projects.

If you are passionate about environmental sustainability in the built environment and want to make a measurable impact while developing your career within a forward thinking, supportive team, join us and help to create tomorrow together.

About The Role

Our Regional Environmental and Sustainability Managers are critical to embedding environmental sustainability across SES. This combined role supports both regional operations and strategic centre initiatives, ensuring successful delivery of regional SES sustainability targets.

You will provide subject matter expertise, coach and influence teams, drive performance improvement, and support the development and regional implementation of SES's Environmental Sustainability Implementation Plan (ESIP).

As Our Regional Environmental And Sustainability Manager, You Will

  • Lead and embed SES's environmental sustainability strategy (ESIP) into planning, delivery and operational decision making across the region.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the centre sustainability team, helping drive sustainability accelerators, market aligned strategies, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyse project sustainability data, identifying local trends, risks, and regional opportunities to improve performance.
  • Support the regional bid team with credible, high quality sustainability responses aligned to customer ambitions and SES strategic goals.
  • Provide functional support to the SHEQ team by helping to identify environmental risks, contributing to compliance-related activities, and promoting safebydesign principles across projects.
  • Drive engagement with regional project teams, customers, and supply chain partners to promote sustainability best practice and innovation.
  • Facilitate regional training, upskilling and mentoring to build local sustainability capability and knowledge within teams, including leading a regional network of sustainability champions.
  • Report on regional sustainability performance and escalate key issues to support organisational learning and corrective action.
  • Locally manage or propose budgets that support the effective delivery of sustainability objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
