Regional Expert by Experience

Are you passionate about using your lived experience to influence positive change and improve the quality of care for others? Join Elysium Healthcare as a Regional Expert by Experience to provide lived-experience leadership across our hospitals and care homes, ensuring the voices of service users, families, and carers help shape how we deliver and improve our services.

As a key member of the Regional Senior Management Team, you will bring an independent perspective, offering constructive challenge and valuable insight to help ensure co-production remains at the heart of decision-making. You will work closely with operational leaders, service users, carers, and colleagues to ensure lived-experience feedback directly influences service development, quality improvement, and organisational culture.

In this role, you will lead engagement activities across the region, building strong relationships with service users, families, carers, peer workers, and external partners. You'll champion inclusive, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused approaches, ensuring people feel heard, valued, and empowered to contribute to meaningful change.

You will support and strengthen regional involvement structures, helping services develop opportunities for co-production and participation while promoting the value of lived experience throughout the organisation. Through regular engagement and feedback, you will identify themes, risks, and improvement opportunities, providing independent assurance and insight to senior leaders and governance forums.

Working closely with local services and the national Expert by Experience network, you will help ensure learning, feedback, and best practice are shared across the organisation. You will play an important role in shaping service improvement initiatives, challenging where necessary, and helping to create environments where service users and carers are genuine partners in care and decision-making.

This is a hybrid role covering our services North West, Yorkshire and East Midlands.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
