Regional Facilities Manager
We are seeking an experienced Regional Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of integrated hard and soft facilities management services across a regional portfolio, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, budget control, and continuous improvement.
Location: Mobile role covering client sites across York, Scarborough, Newcastle, Longbenton, Penrith, Thirsk and a small landlord-managed site in Edinburgh.
Candidates can be based in Manchester, Cumbria, the Newcastle corridor or the wider North West/North East region. Regular travel between sites is required.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Regional Facilities Manager or a strong Facilities Manager/Senior Facilities Manager ready to take the next step into their first regional role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring high standards of service delivery across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of integrated hard and soft FM services, ensuring all services meet required standards and SLAs.
- Oversee planned, reactive, and scheduled maintenance activities across buildings, engineering systems, and assets.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted service partner.
- Provide leadership and direction to regional teams, driving service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements, compliance obligations, and safe systems of work are adhered to and embedded within the team culture.
- Manage contract budgets, financial targets, cost controls, and service performance measures.
- Oversee the effective recruitment, training, development, appraisal, and performance management of operational teams.
- Support contract mobilisations, including workforce transfers, while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Ideally an experienced Regional Facilities Manager.
- Strong Facilities Managers or Senior Facilities Managers seeking their first Regional FM role will also be considered.
- Experience managing both hard and soft FM services is preferred.
- Confident reviewing, interpreting, and challenging statutory compliance reports.
- Comfortable engaging with technical and compliance-related matters within a highly technical environment.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team development skills.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, financial targets, and service delivery performance.
- Knowledge of recruitment, vetting, absence management, disciplinary procedures, and people management processes.
- Excellent organisational, reporting, and administrative skills.
- Full UK driving licence required (car/car allowance).
