Regional Financial Controller

An international hotel group is looking for a Regional Financial Controller to cover a portfolio of London hotels. The role reports to the Head of Finance.

The role combines financial control with business partnering. You'll own reporting, forecasting and governance across the portfolio and work closely with General Managers and Regional Operations to improve revenue, productivity and profitability.

(3 days on site - 2 WFH)

What you'll do

Finance leadership

  • Act as the senior finance partner for the portfolio, supporting operational and commercial decisions
  • Provide analysis and challenge on revenue, profitability and return on investment
  • Support business cases and growth initiatives

Reporting and performance

  • Lead management accounts, budgeting and forecasting across the portfolio
  • Deliver accurate, timely management information
  • Track KPIs, trends and market benchmarks to identify risks and opportunities
  • Hold hotel teams accountable for financial performance

Business partnering

  • Work with hotel leadership teams on revenue, labour productivity and profitability
  • Present performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Turn financial data into practical actions for operations

Controls and governance

  • Maintain financial controls and compliance across the portfolio
  • Support audits and risk management

People

  • Lead and develop a regional finance team of [number]
  • Improve processes and ways of working across the portfolio

What you'll bring

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or actively studying towards a qualification.
  • Experience as a Financial Controller, Cluster Financial Controller, Regional Finance lead or Finance Business Partner
  • Hotel, leisure or multi-site experience (strongly preferred)
  • Confidence challenging and influencing senior operational stakeholders
  • A track record of improving financial performance, not just reporting on it
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, reporting tools and hotel PMS
