The Role
The Fire Sales Executive will be responsible for generating profitable Fire sales opportunities across an allocated geographical territory and customer base. The role will focus on developing existing customer relationships, identifying and winning new business, and maximising opportunities for Fire products and services.
Working closely with the Fire Team Lead, you will be responsible for achieving your individual sales, revenue, margin and activity targets while contributing to the overall growth strategy of the UK Fire Sales team.
You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their requirements and delivering appropriate Securitas Technology Fire solutions. You will proactively manage your pipeline, develop new opportunities and ensure all sales activity is accurately recorded and progressed through the CRM system.
Job Description
What you will do...
- Achieve and exceed individual sales KPIs across activity, revenue, margin and new business.
- Actively manage an allocated customer base to maximise retention, customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Fire market through prospecting, networking, referrals and targeted business development.
- Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for Fire solutions.
- Generate opportunities through cross-selling and upselling across the Securitas Technology product and service portfolio.
- Proactively prospect within an allocated geographical territory to increase the Securitas Technology customer base.
- Manage the complete sales process from initial prospecting through qualification, design, proposal, negotiation, successful close and after sales.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed in a timely and structured manner.
- Ensure all customer interactions, activities, opportunities, quotations and pipeline information are accurately maintained within the CRM system.
- Work closely with the Fire Team Lead to provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.
- Understand customer requirements and provide solutions that meet both their operational and commercial needs.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Fire products, services, technologies and market developments.
- Keep up to date with new products and solutions and confidently communicate their benefits to customers.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including Operations, Projects, Service, Estimating and other Sales functions to ensure a joined-up customer experience.
- Ensure proposals and quotations are commercially sound, accurate and delivered within agreed timescales.
- Monitor competitor activity, market developments and customer trends and communicate relevant information to the Fire Team Lead.
- Prepare and participate in regular pipeline and performance reviews with the Fire Team Lead.
- Contribute to team meetings, sales campaigns and strategic initiatives designed to grow the Fire business.
- Ensure a professional and customer-focused approach throughout the entire sales process.
- Observe all health and safety requirements, ensuring that you and others around you operate in a safe manner.

- Active management of your own accounts to increase retention and spend.
- Collaboration with regional account managers for cross selling opportunities.
- New Business Prospecting to increase Securitas Technologies customer base within the Fire market.
- Proven ability to prospect and generate new business.
- Proven ability to manage and grow existing accounts.
- Strong pipeline management skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing capability.
- Ability to identify buying signals and convert opportunities.
- Ability to sell consultatively rather than purely on price.
- Achievement Oriented: You possess a high activity rate, withstand pressure, and are goal-oriented with a sense of urgency.
- Maximise the profitability of the department, by ensuring a, ‘Right First Time’ approach, in all aspects of your work and providing performance feedback to the team.
Qualifications
What you will need...
- Securitas Values: Integrity; Vigilance, Helpfulness
- FIA Level 3 – Design (or working towards FIA qualification)
- Comprehensive understanding of BS5839-1:2025 and Fire procedures
- Proactiveness and Resilience: Demonstrate a proactive approach, tenacity, and resilience in overcoming challenges.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Solid commercial mindset with impeccable ethical standards.
- Experience in a Fire & Security preferably in a multinational, fast-paced, matrix setting.
- Ability to demonstrate Sales Experience at this level and lead by example.
- Consultative selling approach with emphasis on new business opportunities.
- Strong ability to use own initiative.
- Tenacious- ‘Can do’ attitude.
- Resilient – overcomes challenges to ensure success.
- Team player- consults with other team/company members seeking and giving assistance.
- IT Literate
- Positive and proactive response to all situations
- Proven track record of sustained sales achievement in role
- Manage and develop a sales team.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Collaborator who can be trusted by both colleagues and external clients.
- Can perform under pressure.
- Highly driven and self-motivated.

- Strong understanding of market research techniques and business development strategies.
- Understanding of NSI and compliance standards.
- Experience in using CRM software platforms.
