Regional General Manager - M&S Food Sites
Are you an inspiring leader who can drive performance across multiple large-scale operations? Can you build trusted customer partnerships that translate into strategic growth opportunities? Do you thrive on leading senior teams, influencing business direction and delivering commercial success?
We are looking for a Regional General Manager to join our M&S Food sites in Bradford, Daventry, and Milton Keynes. You will lead a portfolio of sites across our prestigious contract. This is a high-profile leadership role where you'll provide strategic direction, governance, and commercial oversight across multiple operations, working through experienced site General Managers and leadership teams.
As the senior customer partner within the region, you'll play a key role in shaping long-term strategy, driving operational excellence, and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth. This is an exciting opportunity to influence business performance at a regional level while leading a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time permanent role working predominately Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £105,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes:

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
- Set the strategic direction for the region, ensuring site performance aligns with customer and GXO business objectives
- Build and maintain senior customer relationships, leading strategic reviews, and managing high-level escalations
- Take ownership of regional commercial performance, including P&L oversight, budgets, forecasts, risks, and opportunities
- Lead, coach, and develop site General Managers, driving accountability, succession planning, and leadership capability
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational, customer, people, safety, and commercial challenges across the portfolio
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and technology adoption to enhance operational performance and customer value
- Use operational and financial insight to identify growth opportunities, improve resilience, and deliver sustainable contract success
What You Need to Succeed at GXO
- Significant senior leadership experience across multiple sites, contracts, or complex operational environments
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&Ls, budgets, forecasting, and contractual performance
- Proven ability to build strategic customer relationships and translate customer needs into value-added solutions
- Experience leading through senior operational leaders and developing high-performing leadership teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills at the executive level
- Demonstrable success delivering change, continuous improvement, and innovation within large-scale operations
- Strong analytical and decision-making capability, with the ability to balance customer outcomes, operational excellence, and commercial objectives
