Regional GPA Education Lead
Location: Regional
Hours: Part Time (15 hours per week, 0.4 WTE) with core days between Tuesday and Thursday
Rate of Pay: £34 per hour

By joining the team delivering our award-winning GPA Programme, you will lead a team of dedicated educators, ensure learners receive outstanding guidance and support, and play a key role in shaping how primary care systems evolve and thrive.
About Us
PCWA CIC is a primary care workforce and education organisation dedicated to making primary care the best place to work and learn. We design and deliver high-quality education and workforce programmes across GP practices, PCNs, Training Hubs, ICSs, universities and national NHS partners.
Our national General Practice Assistant (GPA) Programme is delivered across all seven NHS England regions and has recently been recognised with a Princess Royal Training Award.

About The Role
This senior regional role provides strategic leadership, educational direction and operational oversight for the GPA Programme across multiple ICS areas. The post holder leads Regional Educators, strengthens stakeholder relationships, supports workforce transformation and ensures consistent, high quality programme delivery aligned with national objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the strategic delivery and development of the GPA Programme across your region
- Inspire, support and develop Regional GPA Educators to deliver exceptional learner experiences
- Build influential relationships with ICBs, PCNs, Training Hubs and primary care leaders
- Manage risks and monitor regional KPIs, driving quality, performance and continuous improvement across the programme
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-level qualification in healthcare or equivalent experience
- Significant experience in healthcare education, workforce development or primary care leadership
- Experience leading teams and delivering programmes across complex healthcare systems and multiple locations
- Senior level stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Advanced facilitation, educational leadership and communication abilities
- A passion for developing people and improving patient-facing services
- A strategic mindset with the ability to turn vision into action
