About This Role
As Regional Head of Sales, you will lead the regional field sales force for Dawsongroup Vans, maximising sales, revenue and profitability while developing both new and existing business. This is a senior commercial leadership role for someone who can motivate a sales team, improve performance and help shape the wider UK sales strategy.
- Provide effective day-to-day leadership, management and motivation across the regional field sales force, creating a high-performing and accountable sales environment.
- Take ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, driving activity, productivity, revenue and profitability in line with forecasts.
- Support new business activity through proposals, presentations and customer meetings, helping the team identify and convert new opportunities.
- Understand where business is won and lost, using accurate reporting and market insight to identify opportunities and provide meaningful information to the Head of Sales.
- Work with the Head of Sales on UK sales strategy, operating standards, reporting and initiatives that improve customer penetration and commercial performance.
About You
You will bring strong sales leadership experience, with a proven ability to develop new business, grow existing accounts and achieve measurable commercial results. Just as importantly, you will be a confident people leader who can develop talent, build relationships and create the focus needed to deliver ambitious targets.
- Experience leading new business and account development teams, with a strong understanding of sales performance and commercial growth.
- Strong motivational and leadership skills, with the ability to coach team members, support career development and encourage high standards.
- Advanced negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence customers, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
- A structured and analytical approach, able to produce clear reports, proposals and customer information that support effective commercial decisions.
- Self-motivated, enterprising and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple demands, meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
