Regional HR Advisor

Elevation HR are recruiting for an experienced Regional HR Advisor to join an established operational business on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on regional HR role supporting a geographically dispersed workforce across the Midlands and South, with a strong focus on complex employee relations. The role will suit an experienced HR Advisor who is confident working autonomously, supporting operational managers and managing a busy ER caseload.

The business is heavily unionised, so previous trade union experience is essential. Experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, transport or another operational environment would be highly relevant.

Responsibilities

As a Regional HR Advisor you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a caseload of complex employee relations matters
  • Advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and wellbeing cases
  • Supporting complex and long-term absence, including Occupational Health and reasonable adjustments
  • Coaching and challenging managers to ensure fair and consistent outcomes
  • Working confidently with recognised trade unions and employee representatives
  • Supporting investigations, formal meetings and hearings
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice
  • Building strong relationships across a dispersed operational workforce
  • Escalating complex cases appropriately and working closely with senior HR colleagues

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
