Are you a people-focused HR Manager who loves building strong partnerships, influencing leaders, and making a real impact across a fast-paced operational environment?

Would you thrive in joining an emerging business unit, focusing on change and transformation as we continue to grow?

If you’re keen to drive people engagement and passionate to coach operational leaders to bring out the best in their teams and looking for a role where no two days are the same, then we’d love to hear from you and how your expertise can truly shape our culture and performance.

As Regional HR Manager

You’ll be at the heart of the action—partnering with General Managers, coaching managers, and delivering expert HR support across a busy transport operation in the North/North-West. From handling employee relations and shaping people plans, to driving engagement, and supporting exciting projects like TUPE and new business wins, no two days will be the same.

This is a full time, permanent position (Monday to Friday between 08:00 to 17:00 – flexibility for business needs required). This role requires travel (covering North/Northwest). Being based in the Wakefield area is beneficial for the 3 site locations.

Pay, benefits and more

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum (subject to experience) and jobs need car, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
