Regional HR Partner

We are looking for an experienced Regional HR Partner to join our growing HR team and play a key role in supporting our schools, leaders, and people across the Sutton and Outer London region.

This is a role for an HR professional who enjoys being trusted to provide expert advice, build strong relationships, and find practical solutions to complex people issues.

You’ll work closely with Headteachers, senior leaders, and School HR Leads, providing professional advice across the full range of HR and employee relations matters. You’ll also work alongside our central HR team on Trust-wide projects, helping us develop consistent, effective, and forward-thinking people practices as GLT continues to grow.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be the professional HR Partner to a group of GLT schools across the Sutton and Croydon area, supporting leaders with everything from day-to-day people matters through to complex employee relations cases and organisational change.

Your work will include:

  • Providing expert advice on employment law, employee relations, and people management.
  • Supporting complex casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, restructures, redundancy, and TUPE.
  • Advising Headteachers on recruitment, workforce planning, and effective recruitment and selection.
  • Leading and supporting formal HR meetings and helping managers build their confidence and capability.
  • Line managing School HR Leads and supporting their development.
  • Supporting the integration of new schools into GLT, including HR due diligence and TUPE.
  • Working with colleagues on HR projects, policies, reporting, and workforce data.
  • Using HR metrics and workforce information to identify trends and support effective decision-making.
  • Providing guidance on payroll, pensions, and other employment-related matters.
  • Helping to ensure that HR practice is consistent, compliant, and effective across the Trust.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
