About Allica Bank

Allica is the UK’s fastest growing company - and the fastest-growing financial technology (Fintech) firm ever. Our purpose is to help established SMEs, one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech.

Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.

Department Description

Allica Growth Finance delivers working capital funding to established UK businesses, with facility sizes between £1m-£10m.

Our Growth Finance offering is innovative and differentiated from other working capital solutions and, since we launched the product in 2023, has been well received resulting in a rapidly growing portfolio of SME clients.

Our growing team of specialists share a common focus on structuring funding solutions for those clients and delivering an exceptional relationship experience.

During the origination process, we gain a deep understanding of each business. This informs both facility structuring and risk management as well as providing the foundation of our ongoing relationship.

Role Description

The Growth Finance Regional Lead will be responsible for contributing to the generation of Growth Finance opportunities to meet, and ideally exceed, forecast portfolio assets and income/returns.

As well as growing the portfolio, it is important that we manage risk within the bank’s appetite. You will be responsible for ensuring that new business opportunities are properly assessed and the risks and mitigants pertaining to each deal are identified and articulated in the credit submission.

This role will also have responsibility for development and maintenance of a portfolio of professional introducers as well as profile of the bank in their respective regions.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Based on individual target, contribute to the delivery of the new business volume and income plan for Growth Finance.
  • Ensuring that all relevant information, risks and mitigants are considered when presenting opportunities for consideration.
  • Developing and maintaining the introducer base, expected to be corporate finance and debt advisory professionals in addition to selected specialist brokers.
  • Collaboration with other team members, both within Growth Finance and the wider bank. Of particular importance will be ensuring a cohesive approach for the whole bank in regional markets.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided, and to provide ongoing direction as to where Allica’s product and software development should focus to provide greatest benefit to customers and efficiency over time.
  • Be an advocate for the product with colleagues throughout the bank.
  • Complying with all mandatory policies and develop and adhere to operational procedures to maintain a strong internal control environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
