Regional Logistics Manager
Location: Covering Midlands, Home Counties, South East, South West, North West, North East, Scotland, Ireland
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £95,000
We're partnering with a leading organisation in the environmental services sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Regional Logistics Manager to join their growing operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a supplier-facing role and enjoys improving operational performance, building long-term partnerships, and driving large-scale change. You'll play a key role in the implementation and long-term success of an ambitious national initiative.
The Role:
- Oversee a portfolio of strategic supplier partnerships, building strong working relationships while ensuring services are delivered efficiently, commercially, and in line with agreed performance standards.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate operational readiness ahead of launch before moving into a business-as-usual role focused on supplier performance, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Develop strong relationships with logistics, processing, and operational partners across your region.
- Use operational insight and performance reporting to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and enhanced service delivery.
- Work closely with suppliers to improve performance, address challenges, and maintain high operational standards.
- Lead regular performance reviews, governance meetings, and site visits.
- Contribute to programme implementation by coordinating readiness activities, trials, and key delivery milestones.
- Manage operational issues and work collaboratively to deliver effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall network performance.
- Work cross-functionally with colleagues across operations, technology, finance, and compliance to deliver shared objectives.
- Promote best practice and contribute to longer-term operational improvements.

About you:
- Bring experience managing supplier relationships within a complex operational environment and be confident balancing commercial awareness with strong stakeholder engagement.
- Have experience managing third-party suppliers against KPIs, SLAs, and contractual commitments.
- Possess strong operational and commercial judgment.
- Ability to analyse performance data and turn insight into action.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience delivering operational projects, change initiatives, or mobilisation programmes.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to travel regularly across your assigned region.

It would be advantageous if you have:
- Experience within the environmental sector.
- Knowledge of logistics networks or transport operations.
- Experience supporting major operational launches or transformation programmes.
- Project management experience or recognised qualifications.
