The Role
As Regional Maintenance Engineering Manager, you’ll lead engineering performance across multiple UK sites, ensuring our teams, assets, and maintenance activities operate safely, reliably, and effectively. You’ll take ownership of multi-site engineering leadership, asset reliability, preventative maintenance, engineering standards, and team development, delivering measurable improvements across our operations.

Working closely with General Managers, senior operational leaders, and site engineering teams, you’ll drive a consistent approach to engineering performance, with a particular focus on reducing downtime, improving planned maintenance adherence, and eliminating repeat equipment failures.
Who We’re Looking For
- Proven multi-site engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex operational environment.
- A strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, supported by a relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong health & safety knowledge, ideally with IOSH Managing Safely and/or NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Experience managing engineering budgets, resources, and external contractors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing, engaging, and retaining engineering teams.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to use data to identify issues and drive improvement.

Location & Work Pattern
This is a UK multi-site role, requiring regular travel between Bodycote locations. Due to the operational nature of the position, some flexibility will also be required to provide support outside normal working hours in response to significant unplanned equipment failures or quality issues.
