REGIONAL MANAGER – FINANCIAL PLANNING
SIX FIGURE BASIC | BONUS | BENEFITS | LTIP | SOUTH WEST | NEWLY CREATED ROLE
One of the UK's most ambitious and fastest-growing wealth management businesses is looking for an experienced Financial Planning leader to take on a newly created Regional Manager role, supporting the Head of Financial Planning and overseeing a growing team of Financial Planners mainly based in the South West and some based in London.
This is a business that is actively acquiring and expanding throughout the year, and this role has been created specifically to provide the management structure and support the Head of Financial Planning needs as the business continues to scale. The team you will be leading is a varied and expanding one, made up of experienced advisers who have joined through acquisition, new recruits who have taken on client portfolios, and emerging talent progressing from paraplanning into advice. Bringing those different groups together, developing them, and building a cohesive and high-performing regional team is the core of the brief.
The opportunity for career progression here is real. As the business continues to grow through acquisition and organic expansion, the scope of this role will grow with it, and the platform on offer is one that a commercially-minded leader can genuinely shape over time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
