📢 Internal Opportunity – Regional Manager (London Building Control)
Location: Exeter
Salary: Competitive
Contract: Full Time
Are you ready to take the next step in your Building Control career? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to join London Building Control as Regional Manager, leading the delivery of Building Control services across the Southwest region.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, supporting and developing surveyors, managing complex projects, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service and regulatory compliance.
About the Role
As Regional Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of Building Control Surveyors and technical support staff.
- Oversee workload allocation, performance management, and regional delivery targets.
- Provide technical guidance and support on complex Building Regulations matters.
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients, stakeholders, local authorities, and project teams.
- Manage a portfolio of complex commercial and residential developments.
- Undertake plan assessments, site inspections, and regulatory compliance activities as a Registered Building Inspector.
- Support the development and mentoring of junior surveyors.
- Drive customer retention, business growth, and service excellence.
- Promote compliance with the Building Safety Regulator Code of Conduct and all relevant legislation.

What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from individuals who can demonstrate:
- Significant Building Control experience, including commercial and industrial projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.
- Experience managing workloads, projects, and teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
- The ability to make sound technical decisions and support others in doing the same.
- Full membership of CABE, CIOB or RICS (or equivalent relevant qualification).
- RBI registration at Class 2A-F
