Role Overview

The Subsidence Regional Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Subsidence specialists, ensuring the efficient and effective handling of subsidence claims, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of subsidence claims management, and a proven track record in achieving operational targets.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of subsidence specialists to ensure high performance and achievement of goals.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and address any performance issues or development needs.

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of subsidence claims within the assigned region, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and evaluate complex claims to determine coverage, liability, and appropriate settlement strategies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to claims specialists on complex or escalated cases.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as insurers, underwriters, and risk assessors, to assess risk factors and develop effective claims strategies.

Operational Efficiency and Quality Assurance

  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with established standards and protocols.
  • Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline claims processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other external stakeholders within the region.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated client inquiries or concerns and proactively address any issues to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to identify opportunities for expanding client relationships and promoting the company's subsidence claims services.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on claims activities, performance metrics, and regional trends for management review.
  • Analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement, develop strategic initiatives, and make recommendations for process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., insurance, risk management) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in subsidence claims management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of subsidence principles, investigations, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant insurance policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions in complex situations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving operational targets and delivering high-quality services.
  • Proficient in using claims management software and other relevant tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required.
