Regional Marketing Assistant

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Contract: Fixed Term (8 Months)


We are looking for a Regional Marketing Assistant to join our team at our Global HQ in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role would be perfect for someone looking to start their career in marketing and gain experience across local and regional marketing within a fast-paced FMCG environment!

As the Regional Marketing Assistant, you will support the delivery of best-in-class marketing across both the UK and European markets. Working across Brand, Shopper and Digital Marketing, you will help bring integrated campaigns to life, support product launches, deliver insights and reporting, and coordinate marketing activations across multiple channels.

This is a varied role that offers experience across consumer marketing, retail activation, social media, campaign management, trade marketing and market analysis, working closely with Regional Sales, Global Marketing, Creative, Digital and external agency partners.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the planning and execution of integrated UK and EU marketing campaigns across digital, social, PR, retail and shopper marketing.
  • Assist in coordinating campaign timelines, ensuring projects remain on track and key deadlines are met across UK and EU.
  • Support the creation and localisation of marketing assets, working closely with Global Marketing, Creative and external agencies.
  • Help manage campaign assets, ensuring correct versions are available for retailers, agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the day-to-day management of UK social media channels by scheduling content, monitoring performance and assisting with community management where required.
  • Assist with influencer activity, including product gifting, campaign administration and performance reporting across UK and EU.
  • Support retail marketing activations by coordinating POS materials, retailer assets and product page updates as well as promotional campaigns across UK and EU.
  • Assist with product launches by coordinating marketing materials, sample requests, campaign logistics, sales tools across UK and EU.
  • Produce regular reports on campaign, social and digital performance, identifying key insights and opportunities for optimisation across UK and EU.
  • Conduct competitor, category and consumer research to support marketing planning and innovation projects across UK and EU.
  • Coordinate purchase orders, invoices, budget trackers and general marketing administration across UK and EU.
  • Organise product samples for campaigns, PR, influencers and internal meetings across UK and EU.
  • Support the organisation of events, trade shows, retailer meetings and consumer activations across UK and EU.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Sales, Shopper Marketing, Consumer Experience, PR, Digital, Creative and Global Marketing to ensure consistent execution of campaigns.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in marketing processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Undertake additional administrative and project support as required by the UK and EU Brand Marketing team.

  • Degree (or working towards a degree) in Marketing, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A genuine passion for marketing, brands and consumer trends.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, positive and collaborative approach with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence interpreting campaign and performance data.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube would be advantageous.
  • Experience using project management or marketing tools would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and willingness to support across a variety of marketing activities.
  • Fluency in German or French would be beneficial, and another European language would be a plus (Italian, Spanish, Dutch).
