Equans is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to join our Digital business, based from our office in Leed with the objective to support sites across the North East and part of the Midlands.

Supported by an ambitious 5-year growth strategy and projects ranging up to £1.5m, we are looking for a team to help us grow sustainably.
Role Overview
This Regional Contracts Manager role sits within Digital Services (Digital & Energy) and is responsible for all elements of BMS and digital service within their portfolio. This role is there to ensure our teams are managed efficiently to provide an effective and high-quality technical service to customers and Equans colleagues. Our Managers continually review team performance, contracts, growth opportunities & innovation while ensuring customer satisfaction in line with SLAs. Contracts in each portfolio include:
- Hospitals
- Schools
- Government Buildings
- Office and Retail Spaces
Key activities
- Responsibility for digital service provision across all sites in their portfolio
- Day to Day Management of BMS Service Engineers and Service Partners (approx. 15-20 persons)
- Managing specialist subcontractors
- Regular contract reviews with customers and senior clients, upselling services where possible
- Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts
- Technical, Finance, Commercial understanding and awareness
- Operational delivery of contract KPI’s – meeting SLAs
- Management of statutory, legal, safety and contract compliance standards
- Stakeholder engagement and liaising with PMO
- P&L responsibility between £1m - £3m
- Travelling to all sites in the portfolio to undertake service reviews, safety visits and meet teams
- Ensuring engineers work efficiently, that tasks are planned efficiently to balance all work types while meeting SLAs for attendance
- Ensuring our teams meet the required training and operational quality standards
- Compliance with financial processes and meeting budget targets
- Setting and reviewing team objectives to ensure teams are aligned to company strategic goals
- Actively participates in securing new growth opportunities and secures new contracts in line with targets

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Degree level education, or, Qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical)
- Relevant, evidencable work experience to a similar level
- Must be able to obtain and retain SC/CTC clearance
- Experience of managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services on a large scale
- Thorough working knowledge of the BMS industry and systems our teams may encounter (ie, Trend, Tridium, Siemens etc)
- Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and other M&E systems
- Experience within a variety of contract environments
- P&L Responsibility with a track record of success
- Strong client focus and clear, concise communication skills
- Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts in financial terms
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with the team, clients, support functions and other departments to optimise service levels
- Working knowledge of CAFM/Other Systems
