Bristol / Newport | £60,000–£70,000 + Car Allowance + Up to 25% Bonus
Are you an experienced Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or Fire Protection Manager looking for a role where you can genuinely shape and grow a business?
We’re looking for a commercially sharp, experienced leader who wants to build, improve and grow a live passive fire operation across Bristol, South Wales and surrounding areas.
The region already has a strong platform:
- Around £3m–£3.5m turnover
- Established multi-year contracts
- Direct labour delivery model
- Around 15 operatives, with further growth planned
- Targeting approximately 15% annual growth
- Expansion focus across education, healthcare, commercial property and wider regulated environments
What you’ll be responsible for
You’ll take ownership of the region’s commercial, operational and people performance, including:

- Full P&L responsibility
- CVR / CBR, forecasting and margin control
- Leading and developing operational teams
- Improving productivity, programming and work-in-progress visibility
- Strengthening direct labour delivery
- Managing key client relationships
- Supporting business development and mobilisation
- Driving safe, compliant delivery across passive fire projects
What we’re looking for
We want someone who is experienced but still hungry — someone who enjoys accountability, developing people, improving performance and growing a regional operation.
Relevant backgrounds could include:
- Passive Fire
- Fire Protection
- Refurbishment
- Planned Works
- Social Housing
- Construction Operations
You’ll need strong commercial accountability, leadership experience, client-facing confidence and the ability to manage multiple contracts across a wide geographic area. Passive fire experience is highly desirable, and you’ll need enough technical understanding to confidently challenge and support teams working in a regulated environment.
